Ideal for larger or older properties, or homes with access that's easier shown than described - a listed townhouse, a rural approach, or a long drive. They'll answer questions and share moving-day tips while they're there.

Video Survey

Prefer to do it from your phone? On a live video call you walk us through your home while our surveyor notes everything and works out the volume - just as accurate as a visit for most moves, and handy if you're out in North Wales or the far side of the Wirral. Around 30–60 minutes.

In person or on video, an experienced Cestrian surveyor goes through your home with you, room by room, building a full picture of what’s moving and how best to handle it.

3. We assess your move

We note the volume of your belongings, anything needing special care, the access at both ends – from city-centre loading restrictions to narrow rural lanes.

4. Receive your written quote

What your surveyor is assessing

Knowing what goes into the quote helps you get the most from your survey. Your surveyor is working out:

How much there is to move – a room-by-room picture of your furniture, boxes and belongings, which sets the volume, the van size and the crew size.
Anything needing special care – pianos, antiques, artwork, large appliances, glass and mirrors, which older Chester homes tend to have their share of.
